Exploring CIFF Copenhagen
Copenhagen Fashion Adventure: CIFF Fair & Shopping Spree (SS24 & SS25 Highlights)
Our two-day fashion journey in Copenhagen was nothing short of inspiring, as we immersed ourselves in the CIFF Fair and explored the best of the city’s shopping scene. From exclusive industry insights at CIFF to discovering trendy brands in local boutiques, this trip gave us a peek into what’s hot for both SS24 and SS25.
Day 1: CIFF Fair - Unveiling SS25 Trends
We kicked off the adventure with an early morning flight from Schiphol to Copenhagen, arriving just in time to head to the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) at the Bella Center. Focused on Spring/Summer 2025 collections, the fair was a fashion paradise, giving us a front-row seat to upcoming trends in womenswear and menswear. The balance between Scandinavian and international brands was seamless, offering a mix of minimalist design and bold, statement pieces.
Our own collection for SS25 was perfectly aligned with the key trends at CIFF. Satin and viscose fabrics were seen everywhere, as were Oxford stripes, confirming that the stripe trend will dominate next season. The color palette we’ve chosen—particularly the accent shades—was reflected across the brands, which was a great reassurance that we’re on the right track. While not groundbreaking, the rising use of Tencel stood out for its slightly heavier feel and structure, making it an exciting option for future collections, especially for fall and winter looks.
Day 2: Copenhagen Shopping & SS24 Shoot
Rainy weather couldn’t stop us from hitting the shops on day two. We strategically timed our visit to ILLUM, Copenhagen’s luxurious shopping hub, during the downpours, and used the dry spells to explore local boutiques and renowned high-end stores like Louis Vuitton, Sandro, Gucci, and Max Mara.
The Copenhagen fashion scene in 2024 is deeply rooted in sustainability, minimalism, and functional design—all key pillars of the Scandinavian aesthetic. We discovered standout brands like GANNI, famous for playful yet eco-friendly designs, and Stine Goya, who wowed us with bold colors and artistic prints. Saks Potts made a strong impression with their statement outerwear, while Mads Nørgaard offered timeless basics with a modern edge. Soulland expertly blurred the line between streetwear and high fashion, while Henrik Vibskov continued to push boundaries with avant-garde, experimental silhouettes.
Women’s fashion in Copenhagen didn’t disappoint, with brands like Baum und Pferdgarten standing out for their bold prints and feminine cuts, and By Malene Birger offering chic, modern pieces with sleek lines and refined details. Cecilie Bahnsen charmed us with romantic, voluminous silhouettes, while Rodebjer and Gestuz delivered effortlessly stylish designs with Scandinavian simplicity and a raw, edgy twist.
Other brands worth noting included Skall Studio, known for their sustainable, timeless pieces, and Rabens Saloner, whose handcrafted bohemian-luxe designs were a treat. Maria Black blended jewelry and fashion for a sleek, minimalistic vibe, while Résumé brought fresh, colorful takes on Scandinavian style. MUNTHE nailed the perfect balance between refined elegance and artistic flair, while Sofie Schnoor infused feminine elegance with a touch of urban edge.
Key Takeaways for SS24 & SS25
The CIFF Fair confirmed that our SS25 collection is in line with major industry trends, from fabrics like satin and Tencel to must-have styles like vests and co-ords. Our SS24 shopping exploration also highlighted Copenhagen’s sustainable fashion leadership, with a strong focus on functional yet chic designs.
In both our collection development and shopping discoveries, the trends point to a future where sustainability, bold designs, and minimalist luxury come together to define what’s next in fashion. This trip left us inspired and energized, ready to incorporate these insights into our upcoming collections.
